E-commerce Audit

Many of our customers approach us with existing e-commerce solutions already in place. However, these solutions do not perform as expected from a technical perspective, and the customer is eager to identify and then address these challenges. An independent assessment can be the crucial first step in understanding and resolving underlying issues. Our comprehensive audit is specifically tailored for such cases, focused on improving the overall performance and functionality of your digital storefront.

E-commerce audit

Here is how we usually perform it:

Audit Stages

1. Discovery. The goal of the phase is to become familiar with your e-commerce solution. We’ll review the business and technical documentation you have (if any) and interview your product owner to understand the business logic better. We’ll also discuss the issues you are aware of and known bottlenecks we should pay special attention to.

2. Audit Scope Planning. Based on the reveals of the discovery phase we’ll offer and agree with you the scope of the auditing that makes sense for your case.

3. Conduct of the audit. We’ll take time to perform the audit. At that time we’ll need to get a test environment that emulates your production environment for the tests and analysis as well as access to a responsible manager on your side who will be able to answer our questions periodically.

4. Audit Report. We’ll describe the issues revealed during the audit and indicate their severity level based on their impact on business, customers and sales. We’ll try to be specific about the root of each issue and will explain why we think it’s critical or not. For every critical issue we’ll propose a plan to fix it.

Entire audit usually takes 3-5 weeks. The final timeline depends on the complexity of the solution and audit scope.
